What is ELAC?

ELAC stands for English Learner Advisory Committee.  Each California public school, grades kindergarten through 12, with 21 or more English learners must form an English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC).  ELAC meetings are held to encourage parent participation in their students' education.  ELAC meetings held at Calimesa Elementary provide meaningful ways for parents to participate in the needs of our English Learners and access resources available at school to support their continued growth in becoming fluent in English.
