Hello Phoenix Families,
We will be open tomorrow, Monday, 1/13/25. Please know the decision to stay open throughout these outages has not been made lightly. Student safety is always our top priority. We understand that many of our families may not have power or adequate food storage at this time. We want to continue to provide a safe learning environment where our students can safely be sheltered, eat, be in familiar surroundings, and engage in school activities. Keeping schools open also allows parents and families to go to work during the day if they need to.
The very latest information we have received from SCE has indicated that Calimesa Elementary, Wildwood Elementary, Mesa View Middle School, Green Valley High School, and the Early Childhood Education may be without power sometime on Monday, January 13.
Our Emergency Operations Center Team has worked through the weekend to obtain additional lighting and generators for sites possibly affected by the outage on Monday.
Due to the colder weather during the coming week, we will have extra jackets available on site for students who need them. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these unpredictable outages.
